FACTS AND FIGURES OF MOBILE MARKETING

FACTS AND FIGURES OF MOBILE MARKETING

In this blog we can see the penetration of mobile marketing in the field of internet marketing. And how its effect on SEO and Search Engine marketing. And also we can see that How the mobile marketing is important in near future? we can understand that from the following infographic.

.

mobile marketing and tagging

Microsoft Tag has just released a neat infographic highlighting statistics on how people are using mobile phones in 2011. I also doug up a great video that featured late last year with an array of great mobile “growth” statistics, stats and facts for 2011.Which you can see in my previous post.

The infographic shows that over 1 billion of the worlds 4+ billion mobiles phones are now smartphones, and 3 billion are SMS enabled (weirdly, 950 million mobile phones still don’t have SMS capabilities). In 2014, mobile internet usage will overtake desktop internet usage and already in 2011, more than 50% of all “local” searches are done from a mobile device.

86% of mobile users are watching TV while using a mobile phone, 200+ million (1/3 of all users) access Facebook from a mobile device and 91% of all mobile internet use is “social” related.

In my view after the arrival of 3G and 4G services in india mobile marketing cross the all the limits and take over the all marketing media.

And from the infographic we also show that there are high increase in the number of smart phone users which will result in high usage of mobile for the internet activity so by this more and more marketer use this mobile marketing media to reach broader market in less expense.

If you have any query or question related my blog you can ask me in comment section.

My special thanks to Microsoft tag for providing such a knowledgeable infographic.

Introducing the +1 Button

Introducing the +1 Button

Well, here comes Google’s first real shot at Facebook, introducing the +1 button, essentially, Google’s own “like” button and a step into social that will start appearing for people who have joined the experiment in Google Labs. The +1 button will hit search results from this week, allowing people to “+1″ search results, leaving a visual recommendation for your friends to see.

This button provides a few things for Google, firstly, a dramatic increase in “Google Profile” setups (something that just really hasn’t performed well) that really needs to hit a critical mass to have the same social acquisition effect that Facebook is enjoying.

Secondly, it’s about ad targeting data… Facebook are now clear leaders in terms of display ads, and will dominate over the next few years while they are the only ones letting advertisers leverage user-defined profile information to develop highly targeted ad campaigns, Google doesn’t have this, and they need it to compete in a social world.

Then comes the SEO puzzle, what impact will hundreds of +1′s have on your page ranking? Is this going to become another “click fraud” style issue? And don’t forget all the recommendation engine’s Google could pull out of it, and how they could mine that social data… Exciting times are ahead this year, so make sure you join the +1 button experiment here. More on this another day!

The Growth of Mobile: Stats and figures that will shock you!

I thought we might kick the week off with a quick video on the growth of mobile into 2011, it’s nothing revolutionary, but you’ll enjoy the statistical round up explaining exactly how big mobile has grown (not that you didn’t already have a pretty good idea!).

A few of the key take outs from the video is that over 70% of the worlds population now have a mobile phone, that’s over 5 billion mobile subscribers, and in places like the US, it’s 9 in 10 people. With children now more likely to own a mobile phone than a book, with 85% of kids owning a phone as to 73% having books! Now that’s a pretty crazy statistic.

Apple has sold almost 60 million iPhones world wide, while Google’s Android OS is growing at 886% year on year and now activating over 160,000 devices a day, across 60 devices in over 40 countries. And at that rate, Android will come from behind to over take Apple as the leading smart phone OS in 2011. The video is by Sybase, a SAP mobile intelligence company.
